Its pretty good, and definitely worth the 99 cents. If you read the reviews farther down you see someone asking about a return key, there is none, however it is replaced by a lever that pushes the paper back to the left, its in the top left hand side.

I love typewriters but I could never find an old one, I thought to myself "there should be a typewriting app, and thats how a came across this. I have written a few short story on this app! This would be great on the iPad ;)

I like the look of it, and it types easier than the iPhone keypad=) I thought maybe it would let me send texts that looked like an old typewriter font. It doesnt, but thats my bad for not reading it clearly. Its fun, but I wish it sent emails amd texts in old time fonts:(

Why cant the letter be printed as typed???

What a silly waste of money this is. It is NOT easier to use than an iPhone key pad. The old fashioned typewriter format might be "charming" but the novelty lasts about 2 seconds before it becomes just flipping cumbersome. And FYI, there are only 2 fonts from which to choose so its not like the font options provide an added value. Save your 99 cents.

Ever since I laid eyes on this app, I have wanted it from the very beginning! However Im hesitant to spend money on apps, no matter the price, so I held myself back from getting it...but I looked at the sample pictures and for a few months I ITCHED to get my fingers click-clacking away on this app! Finally, I realized a family friend had given me an iTunes gift card for Christmas, and I dug it up, redeemed it, and voila, my dream app is now snugly in my utilities folder! Not only is this app fun to use, its interface is gorgeous! And when you turn on the sound and start typing, its like youre typing it for real! I love the realistic way you "press enter" and how it chimes joyfully when youve nearly reached the end of a page. Everything about it is 5 Stars! I write so much stuff on MiTypewriter, and its a pleasure to do so!  Its a MUST. HAVE.

Very much enjoy the fantastic looking and very realistic sounding keys of the vintage typewriter. But it will not allow cut and copy for texting nor is any recipient able to see the letter that is sent as attachment via email. Perhaps this is because the app does not work well with the new iOS5?? Were there to be an update with some issues addressed it would make the functionality of the app very useful and certainly enjoyable. For now it will be put in a folder to wait for such an update. Please let us know if indeed you will release one. Thank you.

...but the font is sooo small! I can barely see. For me its 99 cents down the drain. They really need to make more of these apps free, at least to give you a chance to TRY it before buying. :-(

Nice concept. improvements might be: iPad version - it looks fuzzy Rotate - wont orient to use with smart cover Strikethrough - allow backspace and strikethrough like a real manual. Letters that disappear when you backspace is cheating. Fonts - or as they used to call them, typefaces...how about a variety ranging from this dirty old crappy machine to a nice clean crisp Hermes?

This app is a beauty for those who know what a typewriter is and have actually typed on a manual one. I am very pleased with this little gem!

I think it may be my new favorite app! Just like a real typewriter! You should get it if you love typing or writing. 

I love this. it looks like a typewriter, it sounds like a typewriter and I can mail it.

Ok, Ill first admit, I did not read the information on the app to see it was for iPhone not iPad. So I will accept my frustration there. I am however using this on the iPhone and enjoy it so far. Verizon on the other hand on large bill board ads in Washington DC have this app running on an iPad. Big as day. I would suggest you look strongly at how your image is being used.

Love the app. Please improve the sound - does not sound like the real thing.

I love this but it doesnt fill the whole screen of iphone5 so it is kind of small. I hope a new update will fix this.
